I've read somewhere that to save some disk space, one can move (train) folders that one doesn't use. I'd like to try this but which ones do I definately need to keep? I'm wanting a UK only train sim.

Unless you really know your way around the program I would advise against removing any of the default stuff from the simulator.

For one thing, if you remove a piece of rolling stock you need to remove any references to it in any activities, consists or services including the tutorials and introductory train rides. The second point is that many downloads alias the cabview or sounds from default stock so you could find that your newly installed class xx will not work.

You can save a bit of space I believe by deleting all activities and services but to be honest, it is probably not worth the small amount of space gained.

Others here are probably better qualified than me to suggest ways in which you can make space savings.
