Nope! There's no MSTS coverage on Vancouver Island....and anyway the "main" line ( single track with one passenger train a day each way) has just closed for track repairs.
Nearest MSTS would be the freeware British Columbia Electric Railway (BCER), a fine 60-mile tram route that runs east from Vancouver, set in the 1930's.
Otherwise in British Columbia there's three payware Maple Leaf Tracks routes depicting the Canadian Pacific mainline through the Selkirk and Rocky Mountains.
My old home town of Colne, Lancashire (on the Preston-Blackburn-Burnley-Skipton line) isn't on MSTS, but most of my old train-spotting haunts (see below) are

HAPPY EASTER to all, especially builders of routes mentioned above, from a train-less (temporarily?) Vancouver Island.

Sadly no ones ever done a route based on the Stainmore and Eden Valley railways, and im not skilled enough to do it myself!

For me it's yes and no we have te ECML, but I would like to see the old Nene Valley Route from Northampton to Ely,The Nene Valley Railway was the first railway into Peterborough,when it was built passenger trains to London went via Northampton,it was only later that the GN route was built,one of the bridges over the river Nene was built by the GN and still has heavy freight and express passenger using it daily just show how well they built things in those days,unlike the famous Cambridge to Saint Ives misguided busway 2 years late a millions over budget

The Nene Valley Railway was released commercially for MSTS quite some time ago - the first release did have a few problems but these were, in the main, overcome with a later patch. It comes with 15 activities.

I see it's no longer available in the CD ordering section but e-bay have a few copies, cheapest is £4.99.

Madly enough though the patch is no longer available, i have one of the original copies and asked where the patch had gone and was told it had been removed, though if i wanted too i could have sent the disk back for one with the patch included. I'm not too fussed though as the issue was only with 2 of the locos.

I have reviewed it and as you can see, it hasn't been popular with other reviewers. But of course bare in mind it is a very early add on so wont be as detailed as more recent routes.

Is it just the preserved part of the Nene Valley or is it the full route?It's the pre preservation route I am interested in due to it's history

The route covers Peterborough to Blisworth, taking in Wansford, Barnwell, Oundle, Thrapston, Wellingborough and Northampton.

Just to add, whilst the route to Blisworth is set in steam days, the route between Wansford & Peterborough is set in preservation days, so Wansford has the additions like the newer station building, turntable, restoration sheds etc.

That's a bit of a blow I was hopeing it would have been all of theLMS/ BR route,and not the preserved one as I see that nearly every weekend as I'm a member of the Nene Valley Railway.
The Latest addition to the steam stock is a BB class Loco,and some of the French Loco's have gone back to France

Living in East London (Ilford) as I do, all of the london based routes could be considered close if not local. However, both GE and LTS are my nearest and the ones I am most interested in. However (again), GE is not set in the era I am interested in (1960 ish) although if stock and timetable were available (the green electric ones) I wouldnt mind running on GE's track. if only the traffic pattern were not proving to be just too much for MSTS I could run a modern timetable but believe me, I have tried and MSTS just can't cope. I have had to split the journey from Ipswich to London Liverpool Street into 5 sections to keep it running anywhere near schedule. I am visiting the national archives in the next few weeks as they have 1960 GE timetables available. I will try that but if it still wont work I will be bidding farewell to MSTS in search of a new passtime for my retirement.

LTS I battled with for many months but due to MSTS's inability to follow a timetable (even its own) I gave up with it although I did manage to get a good service going with the District line. It wasn't till I started adding LTS services that the problems started where lines cross and signals were ignored, trains ran into the back of each other etc.

my route is being made, it is the spur line from the Denver and Rio Grande that ran off the connection between Chama and Durango, the Pagosa branch..it is being made as part of a major expansion of the Colorado western network.
