Re: Cambrian 2
I agree. You can't beat the sound of a Manor climbing Talerddig.
It is of course the finest commercial add-on available, it's as simple as that, nothing else comes close.

Re: Cambrian 2
3DTrainstuff has to be congratulated for redoing this excellent route to a much higher standard than the first one. It is also nice to see that MSTS is not dead. Reading through the Railsim Forums, I am not surprised. MSTS will be around for a long time yet!
£24.50 for this route is not bad, compared to some of the other commercial add ons. Pity it is not available from Amazon Uk or UKTrainsim, but it arrives within ten days of purchase. Better to wait until after Christmas now though, as it could get lost with all the extra Christmas Post.

Re: Cambrian 2
I was disappointed with Cambrian 1.0 as most of the station platforms where not close enough to the train; this made the route unrealistic to me, in fact the platforms were so far away from the train that if a "simulated passenger" was to leap of the train they would still fall down between the gap...
Take a look for yourself: http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e310/ ... thegap.png
I also found the textures on the rails, aswell as the scenery, very dull looking.
I will get still buy Cambrian 2.0; I am hoping it lives upto the standards in which people have mentioned, however does it install over Version 1.0?

Re: Cambrian 2
NO! It is a complete new Route and has nothing to do with Cambrian V1. You can have both Cambrian Routes installed if you want to. It has twice as many route miles and covers all the Cambrian Rail network.

Re: Cambrian 2
Hi Everyone, can someone tell me if it is worth my while buying the second version of this route instead of the first, the reason I'm asking is that one of the Activities I have just loaded into my computer uses quite a lot of stock from the first.
As both are available at around the same price and I have read all the good reports about them, I would like to add the best version of route to my collection and does the second version use a lot of stock from the first.
Any Comments would be greatly appreciated
Bob

Bob,
If you read the previous posts you will see that they are all in favour of Cambrian 2 rathetr than version 1 If you still want to buy V1, Play.com will let you have it at £10,00 discount and free delivery.

Re: Cambrian 2
The downside however is that you can only buy it with a mastercard or visa, which I dont have/cant get.
They need to have better payment options or more merchants to sell the product.
I've been after this route since it came out.

Re: Cambrian 2
Hi Tony, I checked with Play.com and they do not at present have it on sale, the only place I could get it after searching on the internet was from 3D Train Stuff UK themselves so I bought one with my Visa Card for $48.95 approx £24.00.
I wanted a few years ago to buy Films and DVD's from America because they were unobtainable here in the U.k. so I applied at a few Credit Card firms and because I had no Credit Rating I was refused.
I eventually went into my Bank (HSBC) and got one through them i.e. Visa and I only use it for buying things in US$ and pay them off as soon as I can when I get my statement at the end of the month.
Depman2004 you could try this avenue and I hope you are successfull, don't give up there is always a way of getting what you want.
regards Bob

Re: Cambrian 2
They will accept Debit Cards if they are Visa, it depends which bank you bank with. I bank with the Co-op, which issue Visa Debit Cards. I don't use, or have any Credit Cards.

Re: Cambrian 2
In that case, can I ask whether they have correctly positioned the station platforms? That was the only major factor than annoyed me with Version 1.steamnut44 wrote:NO!
