it would be unwise to point out that they use A stock on the met, wouldn't it? They haven't actually painted the District line trains yet. i've seen 3 carriages that they have done.

looks good, anyway! I'm sure lots of people are thinking of a LUL route. it would overcome the difficulties i have with realistic hills!

Someone should make the East London Line, that would be fun. and they use shortened A stock trains on it.

not making a lu line but i do have part of the metroploiton pass over the WCML at south kenton
also i have part of the bakerloo at queens park (non drivable)
and the bakerloo stock depot at stonebridge.
any chance of the stock in bakerloo line colours (whatever that is)
for use as static scenery?
suspending with pain the WCML (fict)

Metropolitan Line

Post by jcjmann »

These units are just what I'm looking for. I've built the main line Met route from Finchley Road to Amersham and Watford. All trackwork is there, but no scenery yet. I'm still figuring out how best to do the flyunder junctions at Neasden, Wembley Park and Harrow, then hopefully I'll extend into Neasden sidings, Stanmore and Uxbridge. I've also managed to reconfigure colour light signals to work as per LT practice. How did you do the 3rd and 4th rails?

If you are trying to be prototypical with your route you should be aware that the Bakerloo line is deep tube whereas the Metropolitan and District line are cut and cover.

Tube stock is considerably more squat in appearance to fit in smaller tunnels.

You may of course be aware of this and simply using a bit of artistic licence, at least until sombody comes up with a tube train (1938 Red Bakerloo stock please).

Regards
Dave.

current bakerloo colours are just like the things at the top of this thread.

just smaller.

and there's no need to have any to go along the WCML, since i'm yet to see a bakerloo line train that actually gets past Quens Park.

I have heard rumours, but i've never seen one myself.

all LUL trains are that white/blue/red colour, with grey roof. except the district line, which are shabby in the old silver, but they are going to refurbish them soon and paint them in the colour up the top there.

the drain trains are still in NSE colours though.

some of the other colours they were considering were foul. they were going to get the new central trains in various shades of green. wouldn't have worked!

Post by jcjmann »

No, not a chance. I think I'd be in Harrow before I got all that trackwork sorted out, and having 10mstr between each point!

4 rail track

Post by drjimi »

Gary, I'm working on the District line for MSTS. I'm very interested in how you accomplished the 4-rail track. I tried the UK Finescale 3-rail, but there's key tunnel sections I need that aren't included. Right now I'm using Xtracks V3.4.

Incidentally, I'm about to release V2 of the CO/CP train. I did a package of Richard's CO/CP a while ago with cab/sounds. The new version has further improved cab graphics (day and night), better physics and more sounds.

Please let me know what you can about 4-rail track.

Thanks, Jimi
