As far as the southern hemisphere is concerned, or the land down under as some put it, here's a link to my thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 51&t=74251

The route is the equivalent of a small industrial siding compared to the other South Australian route, but still offers a good couple of hundred kilometres of mainline track with a hopefully tolerable level of detail. I'll withhold exactly how much for now though as there is still no shortage of stuff to do

On another note, it would be good to see 3dtrains release a route :P

Just to say that after a brief break of about 4 weeks in September I haven't stopped working on activites for Burton-Derby or Cannock Chase since December 2004. I can say that there are at least 2 activities for Burton that are now at advanced stages. Mine one will be ready to test later this week and there will be more...........................

The next one I plan to use some of the recently uploaded superb models Cl40's/44's/rats and the Std class4

yup......I think there is plenty going on

mickrik
Rats you mentioned means Class 24/25. Mark Shipman released the model back in 2001 and still release in that form for many years.

Any way the reason is that the release of Rail Simulator and thats why updates is a bit slow than before. Prehaps one day it will speed up. 5 years ago, Ollie releases BR Diesel repaints and Ben Laws released lots of models, such as class 92 loco, with class 321 on the other hand.

There are plently of models & route to download, new releases will come (like arriva cross country 170 or London Midland 170 one day?).

Thank you to all who posted the fourm, it is a bit busy to do MSTS stuff because they are trying Rail Simulator.

Nah - i'm just testing testing testing at the moment - nothing to do with RS (although that may change if I can ever get the Dev Tools).

I'm lining a few acts up for DC5 when it's released as well, so there is plenty of life left in MSTS. It is just purely down to people's time.

We have just heard that it is too busy time to do MSTS at the moment.

I've just heard that webmaster Matt Peddlesden works a 15 hour shift, and lives with two small children and a wife, plus going to exhibitions at many weekends.

Making tracks have been to US and that's why November edition of Operating notice is cancelled.

Yes its a dam shame that Bats had to close down, they had some brilliant reskins on their site, especially the Bullied WC & BB reskins. Luckily I managed to download them all in time. You MUST have the Bats Southern Railway (Woking to Basingstoke) CD to run these reskins, as they use some of the files from the CD stock.

It would be nice if these locos could appear for download again, as they make a good contribution to anyones Southern Steam Fleet.

I will post up some screen shots within the next few days of some of them in action, on the Dorset Coast Route. Look out for them in the Screenshots Forum

Most of the uploads to UKTrainsim, of locos in the past three months, have been Diesel or Electric. It would be nice to see some reskins of a few more Steam Locos. Britannia's and maybe another Clan, to add to the Stanadard Classes. Is there anyone out there who is capable of doing some?

Apart from that, we should be in for some very good routes in the coming new year.

Yes it is a shame that BATS had to close down, and most stock exclusive to BATS were lost, but some was transfered to UKtrainsim such as GNER 225. Electric Heritage 2 was to be released by BATS. Instead, they are uploaded as freewere. I have BATS Fires and Wires and Southern Region addons for MSTS.

I'm sure very good routes should be released by next year. Thank you steamnut44, we all know BATS (Blue Arrow TS) was closed down for good.

Bye for now!

If you give me a month or so there will be a totally new Britannia model, which I am aiming to make re-skin friendly, as well as providing various versions with all the detail differences.

Dan

That's good news Dan, the Brits were at the forefront during the sixties, until the end of steam on BR. I would love to see models of the following. :D

70004 William Shakespeare is on my list, as it will be done in 'exhibition finish' as per when it was outshopped after being built.

HI there,

this is really good news on the Britannias. Probably my favourite class of engine. I look forward to them.

There is a desperate need for a freeware Stanier 8F.

Since we lost the available ones near 2 years ago there has sadly been a bit of a void.

I shall look forward to these Dan. Another Clan would be nice too, Clan Fraser, which as a boy, I got the privelige to go on the footplate of this loco, at Liverpool Lime St.

Don`t know what you are worried about, I have uploaded some 17 locos over the last few weeks, and just now some 9 coaches.
