Hi all
I run a pentium 4 3.06 with 2GB RAM and am using Sapphire 9600 XT 256MB 8X AGP card.
I have been offered from a friend, a Sapphire X850 XT 256MB 4X PCI-E Graphic Card (my motherboard supports both AGP 8X and PCI-E 4X).
Can someone advise me, is this a good step up? What is the comparison to a Nvidia card etc? I have been trying to look at some reviews on this card, but have so far been unsuccsessful, also I am naturally thinking of the upcoming KRS but its not that important at the moment.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Re: Graphic Card Advice
If you have the money around 70-100 i would go for the X1950Pro or the Nvida Geforce 7900+? Series as they are the best AGP graphics cards you can buy

Re: Graphic Card Advice
Do not get a Nvidia 7xxx series card if you intend to run Vista or you end up with white triangles all over your terrain.

Re: Graphic Card Advice
Hi
If this list is with the best card at the top, the 850 is fairly down the list but it is above your current card

Initially that was the case but the latest Nvidia drivers solve this problem.mikesimpson wrote:Do not get a Nvidia 7xxx series card if you intend to run Vista or you end up with white triangles all over your terrain.
