Does any one else have any problems on this route..? ....when in explore mode, every time i reach a certain point ..i get screen blackout..and it crashes my computer ,that i have to turn it off and restart it.
I Have run it in "Route riter" and after just 5 seconds...tile error..it then proceeds to go from one tile number to another...i have removed the route and run it again from the dvd, but still get this error.

Hi Neil,
Have you run used the patch? which came out just after the route was released, it's available from the site you got the route from.

Hi Neil, Don't worry about the error messages in Route_Riter. Run And install the Patch.

No i still have the same problem even after the update patch..as for the route riter ..it finds at least 70 or loads more tiles missing..[can not read] ..i will have to email 3d trainstuff..on the offchance , is it possible to have a "one off" faulty DVD ie one with loads of Tile files missing..?

If the RouteRiter errors relate to sound source files, you can ignore them. There isn't anything wrong as far as I can tell and it certainly won't cause a crash. If you have missing tiles that is another matter. It could be a faulty DVD.

What patch!!! I bought my copy of Cambrian V1.0 from the EuropeanBahn stall at the Thornbury Model Railway Show this year so can't get the patch as suggested. I've tried the Aerosoft Web site and they don't even list the Cambrian route so I can't obviously register it and get the patch that way.
So can anyone suggest a site that has the patch? And as you're talking about V2.0 have I also missed an upgrade?

Cambrian 2 is totaly different to 1 it's not an addon to it, and I think the patch mentioned is for Cambrian 2.
You can only get Cambrian 2 from 3D Trainstuff in America

I have just spent a good half hour writing a description of my problem as an email to 3dtrainstuff on there helpline ..and there server has rejected it!!
ok..route riter "An error ocurred while attempting to read [ c/program files >>>path of train sim etc] TILES\-1099a280.t
TILES\-1099a284.t
TILES-\1099a288.t etc etc etc....this goes on for ever untill something like 100 tiles or 1099a900.t

then i get another error something like .."index was out of range ,must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection...parameter name: index readme file 3DTS_UK_nCAR FORDPOP_BLACK.S >>>>Again this goes on for 100 times.

This definitely sounds like a dodgy DVD. I did send you a PM with my email address for you to email the RR report directly to me so that I could check it out. Unfortunately, I'm about to go on holiday for a week. I suggest giving the helpline number a call. Brad and Chris are both very helpful and will sort you out. I'll PM you again with my mobile number in case you need further help.

If you can copy the main install exe to your hdd, you may have better luck installing from there.
For info your file should be 930,018kb on the hdd.
I copy and install most add ons to the hdd and then install, as it is much faster, i even do the same with the main msts install files.

I would suggest uninstalling the route and then copying the DVD to the HD as suggested above and, if all else fails, running the installation in safe mode. It may be a faulty DVD but when that is the case errors are normally thrown up during the installation. Something on your system may be hindering a full installation.
Even so your symptoms are exactly the same as mine before the patch was applied. The problem occurs between Shrewsbury and Welshpool and Welshpool and Oswestry. If that's where you are experiencing problems it could be because the patch hasn't been applied to the correct location.

Hi Neil
If you dvd of C2 has become corrupt you could try this Free download
http://www.computeractive.co.uk/vnunet/ ... ry-toolbox
Just a little warning, this software does take a long time recovering damaged files on DVD's
