For those of you who are going to change the rolling stock as soon as you get the route, EB are intending to make available a 'route only' option.

Cheers

Excellent Gaz. I shall just get the route as I did with ECE.

In regards to the stock. I would like to see some Centro-Liveried Class 150's in particular the Class 150/0 and the 150/1 variants. Also if my memory is correct. Centro used to have some Class 150/2's that were used to lengthen the Class 150/1's from a 2 car to a 3 car set. Could be wrong though?

That's interesting but this has also raised a question for me though in regards the price and availibility. What would the price be for just the route alone and would this be a CD or by direct download if I was to get the Route alone?

cheers

The tube train is also of the 1973ts type (Piccadilly) rather than the 1972ts type (Bakerloo) but never mind :P

Just as a note - I'm not sure what the price for the route-only version will be, but it will be available through the Pick 'n Mix download.

The full boxed product will be released first, with the Pick 'n Mix options following later.

Hope that helps.

As an update to a posting of mine earlier, I have been very kindly informed by EB that the intention is to remove the wires once the route is ready to be packaged.

Thanks to EB for taking the time to let me know. :D

The centro 150/0s and 150/1s used to run the new street - worcester route via stourbridge untill they were ousted to snowhill and moor street by virgin who wanted an extra path into new Street per hour.

Yes, Some 150/2 units were broken up and put into 150/1 units to create a similar unit to a 150/0. I think they are also still running the worcester line, even with the influx of anglia 150s and the odd 170 from time to time

As for stock, like Jamie I wouldn't mind seeing some stock in the West Midlands livery, but I hope someone out there has a go at Porterbrook-liveried 87002 as again, correct me if I am wrong, but that was the last passenger service 87 on the London to Birmingham run.
It certainly was http://www.redcow.fotopic.net/p37133292.html .A minute later she left to appluase from the assembled bashers, and that was that...

WCML should be a great seller, i'll be getting the route although probably in route only form - the stock is a strange choice given that HSTs have never had booked Brum-Euston turns, and no 86/87/90 makes a mockery of WCML heritage of the IC period. My PC is and will be staying a pendo-free zone

Tim Courts 81-87s much awaited!!!

In the early years of the Inter city era a HST did indeed run between London and Birmingham New street, mined you it was going to and from Holyhead and it only lasted six months

Anyway forget the 87's i cant wait to run a 84 (Roarers) on mk1s from New street to London

I think it will be worth buying the full pack for the EB stock. No digs at EB, Im not keen on their stylle of model building but one thing I really loved about ECE was the cab and sounds, and im sure WCE will be the same. The 317 and 91/DVT cabs were brilliant, and I really enjoyed the HST and 91 sounds too! Besides, hopefully there will be freeware virgin reskins, as was the case with the WCW 421s being released in Connex and SWT.

Anonymizeruk, sorry to ask you but you seem well informed;

1) Will the speed limits be for Loco Hauled/Conventional stock, or for 390/221 in tilt mode? Also, are the slow lines set for 100mph south of Northampton or 75/90mph as they were before they were upgraded a couple of years ago?

2) Will EB be releasing the 323 at a later stage? I know it was in development, it would be a shame to see it abandoned completely after all the effort.

If anyone is interested, EB have uploaded a new video to their site which features a quick look at Northampton towards the end.

Just had a look at EB website and it appears that you will be getting a HST with the buffers on in it along with what appears to me as quite a good and realistic cabs for the HST and pendolinos.

No problem asking questions - will answer them if I can :)
The aim is to set the route current-day (as much as is possible). At this stage, I'm unable to give any specific details relating to speed limits and such though.

Cheers

Will there ever be a Nuneaton Branch Add-on, because I live around there, and I feel that the scenery to New Street is much better compared to Coventry - New St(no offence) especially since that Nun - New St is direct, and there is 2 lines towards it, The Central line(via Water Orton) and the Virgin Line(Direct)

So in conclusion lol, bring back Sunny Nunny!

end.
