Turbomotive2

Post by MikeM7044T »

While I was looking for some resource material on my next project, Staniers Turbomotive, I came across this web page;
http://www.turbomotive2.com
I would definetly support the idea, just thought, since we have some LMS fans here, might as well post this up.
My Turbomotive is nothing but a set of wheels, frames and a running plate at the moment. :D

Mike,

I only ever saw the Turbo arriving and departing Stafford. The most obvious thing was the lack of an exhaust beat, so heaven only knows what it sounded like at speed.

I dont know why they havnt started using gas turbines as an alternative to Diesel loco's, its cleaner but I'm not sure what the cost would be.
Arriva aren't that bad, are they?
