Sea View 4 Problem

Post by Pyromaniac »

Hi Guys!

After seeing some pictures of this route in the Screenshots Forum, i decided i had to get it.

After downloading all 5 files and following the instructions, proceeded to run the Clickteam Installer. Well, its happily loading until 19% when the below happens:

I was really looking forward to this route and so would be grateful for any assistance.

Thanks

What happens if you try to install it again.

If it fails again, you could try downloading from this site:

http://hawkdawg.com/MSTS/rts/routes.htm

...which is where I got my curretly installed version 4 of the route. I also installed the version available here a few years ago though, without problems.

You might also wish to check out the London & Port Stanley route while you're there - stunning scenery and some nice unusual activities (including a paddle steamer, and a cliff railway ride).

I'll second that Ashley.

London and Port Stanley has the most exquisite scenery of any route I know, and it also politely installs into it's own mini-route. Lots more information and downloads here:

My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558

Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

I've downloaded the L&PS route but am apparently missing a file called

TargetCopyLog.txt from my MSTS installation stops the installer from working

any ideas?

Hi Richard

The installation procedure for L&PS is quite different to other routes - are you sure you followed the instuctions to the letter? Provided you have all six default routes installed, you just need to unzip the entire package to a temporary folder, then double click the Setup.exe file.

EDIT: I've just checked for this file and it's part of the download. Fortunately I have it backed up on my external drive so if you'd like to send me a PM to let me have your e-mail address, I'll happily send it to you.

....a cliff railway ride
A cliff railway ride? It's a funicular!

And a fine example of taking MSTS to its extremes.....

Yep, I saw the file in the zip, but have no idea where to put it so can't really do that.

That's the word I was looking for Doug! :D

Richard - you don't need to put it anywhere, it simply needs to be present in the unzipped download before you activate the setup.exe file.
