Hi
Well the loco is setup for use with Bin.
If you want to use it in an ordinary MSTS you'll have to substitute the eng file.
Cheers

Richard
If you have downloaded my amended warship .eng files, you need Fodda's cabview as well.

And as standard Mark's warships are not setup for Bin.

Hi
With 155 downloads, I wonder what any other users think about the eng files.....Twin engines with startup and auto gearbox?
Try it on a rake of 10 Mk1s........excellent thrash.
Watch the exhaust plumes rise and fall as the gearbox changes.
The next batch are awaiting approval and also require the Bin patch (Says so in the readme and download description).
They also require the ELR CD, as Chris Baily has kindly given permission for me to alter the SMS files, but of course the actual wav files are not included.
Richard you really should try to get Bin working, it improves MSTS 110%.
Cheers
Jon

PS
If your a Classic diesel fan, and you haven't got the ELR CD, you should.
Its worth it for the sounds and cabviews alone.
All monies go to restoring the CoBo too :P

Jon,

Is that the Mark Shipman Warship collection you're on about?

Sounds good to me. I've not driven a hydraulic for a while, time to get some of that thrash again methinks.

Hi Gary
Yes Mark released some excellent Warships the other week, although built in 2002.
He kindly allowed me to re-skin his models.
I'd been messing with twin engines for a while, and auto gearboxes....so I thought I'd give it a try.
I released D848 an NBL version first as I was waiting to hear from Chris (moving house) on the sounds.
But the next batch are Maybachs, including D832, and also take advantage of your superb ELR Warship cabview.
With instructions on how to setup the auto nightview for the Bin patch.
(No files included of course).
Hence members will need to have the ELR addon, to get the best out of these.

Hi Richard
Try using Route Riter to setup a mini route, its not that difficult.
I now have a 20 different msts setups for different countries and eras etc.
You can then apply the patch individually.
Cheers

I think I've missed something here.
I have the latest BIN and the ELR, but my D832 is silent.
Also when pressing the 'V' for starting the engine it still appears to be the wiper switch and with 'B' both engine toggle switches move but still no lovely Maybachs.

Hi Paul
Not totally sure what the problem is here.
Are your ELR sounds installed to

../../common.sound/ELR_DIESEL.snd/ELR_Class42

Or are your MSTS sounds turned upto max quality?

The controls will be the same in the cabview, I haven't altered the cabview....just the sounds.

Cheers
Jon

Hi Jon,

My sounds are in the ELR sound folder you mentioned and all my sounds re set at half way. The horn doesn't work but the loco can be driven as normal with all the associated wag sounds. But no Maybachs.

Cheers,

Paul

Hi Paul
You'll have to turn your sounds up.
I altered them to scalibiltity 5, to give MSTS the 'extra power' to run two engine streams etc.
If you have sound problems it may be you'll have to revert to the original sms files.
As I posted earlier, they are very much BETA, and have not been tested in activities or a low end PC.
Cheers
Jon
