Need help with Skipton to Carlisle acts!!!

To anyone (including the creator of) who uses the Skipton to Carlisle 1920s. I'm having some major problems with a large percent of the activitys for the route. When I try to ply them I get a CTD in the first minute and with others I get a "sticky whistle" where the whistle keeps repeating its self when I only wanted to use it once. This is the donwload version of the site and NOT the CD. Please help!!!!

Are any other sounds looping in the backround?

If not, I'm guessing you've left the whislt stuck on. Dont hold 'SPACE' & 'CTRL' at the same time.

Thx RobertM I'll see if thats whats causing the sticky whistle. Since there are no looping sound on the route that I know of.

This is the quantity of sounds sound channel bug thats well documented. It occurs when you leave the briefing window F11 open too long, or any pop up message the same. Too long can be a matter of seconds on some routes

There is a fix which involves editing the sounds.cfg file i think - try a forum search. Also try turning your quantity of sounds down to medium and reboot regularly to free up memory.

Well I found out the problem. It was a bad d/l due to my d/l manager, but I redownloaded it and it WORKS!!!! WWWWOOOOOTTTT!!!!!

Well most of the acts work but the thing is that the game will crash is I try any of the freight acts and there is no reason why it should but the passenger acts work fine any ideas as to why?
