On all the tender engines I run on MSTS it is the tender which chuffs the loudest. Has anyone else had this problem and, if so, how can it be fixed?[/u]

must be Tri-ang tenders with steam sound
...does anyone else remember those!
You need to check that the sound statements are for wagons... but i can't imagine they would ever be otherwise... most peculiar.

When I use the number "2" view the chuff is considerably louder when it is set on the tender than on the engine

You could check by coupling a tender to the end of the train.
If it realy does chuff, tell us the file name and someone will have a look.
