What is it/are they?

Post by ForburyLion »

Whilst browsing this site http://www.trainpage.com/Rick%27sTrainPictures.html I came accross the following British Locomotives which I don't recognise..... I'm not even convinced that they're diesels, In fact I think they are probably steam powered, Can anyone shed some light on these?

There are plenty more pictures on the site.

Steam Powered they are.

Two of O.V.S. Bullied's 'Leader' locomotives.

Eddie Farms has done a couple of these for MSTS too. I think they are in the downloads bit.

I always thought they looked like a tube train on stilts.

There were models available for them in MSTS once upon a time. Where did they go?

Also, that photo is only of one locomotive, look closely (I don't think the others ever got out of Brighton Works, although they started building about 6 of them I believe) The window half way along was for the fireman, who had to work in a very confined, and hot, space.

Resembles something you would expect to see in the war on a top secret troop train!
