I've just re-installed FUDE 1.2 again after re-formatting my HDD on this computer, and made an activity of my own, which is just a simple run to the airport using a DMU101 4-car set.
On trying to load this activity, it pauses and tells me that some .ace files appear to be missing. The first one is "scarabskin.ace" while others are called "R_1workman.ace" and "stationsign.ace" etc. And trying to run one of the supplied activities, there's an .ace file named "Paintf.ace" - so it seems it's not my problem with missing files.
I did the InstallMe.bat file again, thinking it may have missed some files, but they didn't appear this time round either. There doesn't appear to be a patch available for the route, to apply missing files, and I wonder if there's a possible version 1.0 or something like that, which may have the missing files ? I'd be very grateful for some help in getting this route to work properly.
Regards...

Hello Jim
I'm sorry for the delay in replying - I didn't see your post straight away.
The unzipping process for FUDE was rather unorthodox, and it looks as though one of the files has been unzipped to the wrong place. All the texture files with filenames from N-Z are in the sixth file, FUDE1_2_6.zip. (Files 3 and 4 contain various winter/snow textures, and file 5 contains textures with filenames from A-M).
I would simply unzip File 6 into a temporary folder, then click through the various subfolders until you get to <TEXTURES> and copy the contents of it into the Textures folder in the your FUDE route folder.
There are no patches you are missing - you only need the six route files. If you plan to publish your activity for others to use, you will have to change the overall Route folder name from FUDE1_2 to NEWENG - my mistake, I'm afraid - but otherwise it should work "straight-from-the-box"!
Good luck with it - if you have any further problems, please feel free to e-mail or PM me.
Best wishes

Hi Pete...
I got FUDE working sometime after I wrote that message. It's strange, but I got the workable route from the Train-Sim.com American site. I looked inside the archive, and saw that the files I needed that I was told were missing when trying to run the route, were amongst the files lists I read in a zipfile that contained textures, but were not found in the files on the UKTrainsim, or at least not that I could find anywhere in the downloaded zips.
It's all OK now, but you should check the files from the two sites and compare them to see what I mean, if you read my original message to see the filenames I mentioned and see if they're indeed inside the UKTrainsim archives or not, and then see the ones on Train-Sim.com. It appears that the American site has the "workable" files, at least in my opinion, but it may be you're right in your explanation, unless you're already aware of this difference ?
