Yet another question from Mr Thicky here!!!!
I now have a good selection of routes on my trainsim, and plenty of rolling stock but it all looks a bit bare.
How do I put wagons in sidings without locos such that I can run a pick up goods.
Do I have to set up an activity every time or can I put them in the route so that they are always there like the scenery.
Again, another obvious question to you experts but one that neither the on-screen help or multiple searches of forum threads has shown any light.

To place a static consist:
Right click where you want the consist to go. Select "Place consist" and either select an existing consist or create a new one. For "yard filling" I tend to keep a selection so as to keep the number of consists down , so I have things like "Static PO wagons", "Static BR Vans" and so on.
Interestingly, once you have placed a static consist, you can change it in situ by right clicking on it and selecting Edit. This does not affect the original consist you created it from.
