Confused about CD Startup

Hey all, I've had MSTS for years and it's never needed the Cd to run but i've installed on a new computer and won't start without the CD now?

I thought it didn't the CD

is there a file I can alter or anything?

I have the genuine CD so its not a big prob but its a pain if its not at hand, (I.E buried under rubbish on the desk)

I think one of the official MS patches removes the CD check.

Download the official MS upgrade from here:

You'll also need it before you can install the bin patch.

If you have the excellent Bala Hub CD it includes the necessary patches.
