Scottish Central V2?????

Post by chester025 »

Hi,

With the topic of "Dorset Coast V5" thought I'd ask wether there are any plans to put any more scenery to this:

http://www.uktrainsim.com/routeregistry ... shcentral/?

I myself don't have Scottish Central because I think just Edinburgh to Inverkeithing was a bit, no offense, boring!

Cheers,

In short no there won't be. The author of this route is working on the Scottish Capital Express Route for Making Tracks which has, like Great Eastern some stunning scenery. The route runs from Glasgow QS to Edinburgh Waverley and is based in the 80's, lets hope you don't think thats boring too

Hi,

Look I wasn't trying to be offensive, by saying it's boring. Because I have seen some excellent shots of it! But the route itself doesn't really appeal to me!

So lets not sart this thread into an argument, Please!

Cheers,

To be honest, it is a pity this route didn't get the extention over to Dundee or Glasgow QS as it had a huge potential Forth & Tay Bridges for example, I agree the scenery is limited but what there is of is stunning.

But... big routes although some people love them are a pain in the arse to do acts for and loading, for example I can't load up Thames Mersey V4.2 on RE unless I store it and it won't load without an act and I don't want to use the stock on the DVD so to have another huge route I don't think I'd have the patience, I'm in the minority with this one though.

Could someone else not finish off Inverkeithing - Dundee with the owners permission if there is no intention to finish it?. It wouldnt interfere with MT's E-G and could be released at a later date. Personally i cant wait for Scottish Capitals Express and already have 100's of activities planned in my head But it would be nice eventualy to have Dundee too, even if it was 2 seperate routes.

I agree that this route needs finishing, I only wish I could help instead just asking, but what I know about 3d modelling you could write on a pixel in magic marrker.

The bit from Rosyth to Waverly is STUNNING, looks as good as DC but runs a lot smoother. If only the rest looked as good.

Still the line IS there for someone to finish.

And if you don't have it, get it....it's worth 4.50 or a download, just for the Forth Beidge model which even my GF was admiring today.
