I still need advice re my earlier request for help on reinstallation of MSTS posted earlier today.
I have already deleted the Simulator and I never had a version originally on my drive D

reinstallation of MSTS

When you copy\pasted MSTS from drive C to D you had an unworkable copy of MSTS on drive D.Indeed to all intents, and purposes,It still would still think it was on drive C,BECAUSE IT IS A COPY of drive C installation, with all short cuts etc pointing to "C",even if on "D"
You have a simple choice, install from CDRoms onto drive C,D,or both. You already have MSTS folders on your disc D.If you install MSTS from CD into that folder, assuming it is in D\"program files\microsoft games\train simulator",this install should overwrite the files referring to drive C.
You still seem to have a complete copy on drive C as back up anyway.

I moved my complete MSTS installation from C: to D: - To get it to work, you then need to alter every single MSTS entry in the registry to point to D: instead of C:
This seemed a good idea at the time, until I discovered there are around 100 entries
However it did work eventually.
