reinstallation of MSTS

Post by jow104 »

I have two hard drives and I made a complete copy of MSTS and pasted it in to my second hard drive (D)
I then crashed my first drive (C) and put in my Time Computer reload disk but could not
get MSTS to open from my D drive.
So I have now reinstalled MSTS but want to take out all of the directories and replace them with the folders that I saved to my D drive.
Can anybody confirm that this will be OK or should I select only particular folders to suceed with this operation
I am naturally keen to do this after downloading many files from UKTS and have the finescale folders installed plus my own personal route.
Please help

I don't think its as easy, just to copy\paste MSTS from C to D.Your exe files etc.will still be pointing to drive C.
Suggest an (untried) better way, though roundabout,is to install MSTS default from CD's to D,then copy\paste your route additions etc from C to D MSTS folders.
You should then have two executable MSTS installations, one on C,one on D,to play around with, until you decide to delete one,or the other.
