I have just installed train Sim to find the keyboard commands are not working. I have tried both usb and ps/2 keyboards, with the same results. I can use the ctrll/alt /del keyboard combination to exit train sim. Other than this I have no problems with my keyboard.......anybody any ideas?

Has it got one of those F Lock buttons on your KB,you need to press to get F1 to F12 to work ?

or when you start MSTS in options/Keyboard,you not change any of the settings ?

This can occur if you are using Windows XP.

If in MSTS and the keyboard does not work use the Alt+Tab key combination to tab out of MSTS back to the desktop. Then Alt+Tab to go back into MSTS. If they keyboard now works then the problem is the MSTS startup video. The resolution is to delete or rename the MSTS startup video.

I dont have access to MSTS at the moment so I don’t recall the file name of the startup video. If the above does resolve post back and someone is sure to know the file name and location.

I think it's "startup.mpg".

I have this happen to me fairly often, I must admit I'd never tried to resolve it, but I thought the startup video was already removed. I will have to go and check.
