Level crossing gates in Cannock Chase V.5

Post by earwigo »

I really enjoy the route CC5, but find that the level crossing gates are closed across the railway, even though the route is set and the signals are at clear.
Is there any way of fixing this, please?
Many thanks for any help!
Stuart. :-?

Hi Stuart

Glad you like CC5, the default Settle- Carlisle had the crossing gates
opening the wrong way, so you fixed it, yes  Well now unfix it and all other routes level crossings will work the right way around, ok

Hello Don,
Many thanks for your quick reply - and well done for writing such a fantastic route!
I'm sorry to be a pain, but how do I 'unfix' the gate fix????
Many thanks,
Stuart.

Hello Ashley,
I have put the crossing gates fix (as per default route) into Don's route, but still the gates remain shut! I noticed that when an A.I. train approached, they did open, but not for my train. Any more ideas???
Thanks,
Stuart.

Stuart are you stood at a signal or station - if you've got a clear road then approach the gates and they will open

Cheers

Hi John,
The incident I'm thinking of is where I was at a station with a level crossing just beyond a signal ahead. Coming the other way was an A.I. train, and the gates opened for that. When I started off, even though the signal was clear, the gates remained closed and my train went through them!

John,
It's Staffortd to Bescott via. Walsall, and at the station Bloxwich.
Incidentally the fix for the gates I'm using was downloaded by me about six months ago - has a newer one been posted since?
Thanks for all your help with this!
Stuart.
