NEW TRAIN-SIM HARDWARE CONTROLLERS !!!

Post by OTTODAD »

O.K. the Cat is out of the Bag and I can talk now !!!

My friends P.I.Engineering - http://RailDriver.com who's X-KEYS Programmable USB Keypads I have been using for some time now, suggesting that they manufacture Hardware Train Sim Controllers, like the ones made in Japan for Japanese Train Sims only, are in the process of announcing them now.

Their Web Site is "Under Construction" at the moment, can't wait to see what their new Controllers look like, but have got a good idea, knowing their background and expertise !

After all, we have been working together using the X-Keys Programmable Keypads for MSTS and FS2002 for some time now and since Michael Hetherington of P.I.Engineering got MSTS for Christmas himself, he got hooked on the idea same as I was ! :P

O.K. guys, I have done my bit for Train Simmers world-wide, now it's up to KUJU, TRAINZ and BVE to make the most of it !

That is one SWEET controller! I simply MUST have it!

But will it work with MSTS as it is now or is it meant for version 2?

Was that a stop signal back there??

Got to be said, Fozzy Bear over on T-S.com does have a good point.. If you want, ill work out instructions on how to build this cab, ill try and knock a mockup together and see how it is.. And ill work out a homegrown solution for making your own controls - I'm quite an enterprising person! :)

i don't think he has personally i think he's jumped to conlusions
and filled in the gaps where he wants
he doesn't understand the way the technology works
so instead of trying to clarify he's just slammed it.
in the end though time will tell if it works as good as they are saying

I have to go along with Fozzy's opinion as well. At the end of the day MSTS is such a bug ridden prog that I'd be loathed to spend any more money on something that only has (IMHO) a small chance of actually working in the way that I'd like it to. Besides the controls are all wrong for the type of diesel engines that I like to run.
