Windows Vista Messup while exiting msts and resolution prob.

Though microsoft have done a very good job with vista thay have completly messed msts up.

Go into the game and have a drive thats fine but then excit msts and boom i get a black screen sat here for 10 mins just waiting for it to exit.

Second problem i cant change the resolution to 1026 x 1024?
could be whats causeing the black screen?

Anyone else have windows vista do thay get the same problem.

Maybe its the nivida driver i have?

I have been using Vista since the early Beta versions and have no problems with MSTS, there was tearing in the terrain in the early versions of Vista, but that seems to have been fixed with the latest Nvidia drivers (v100 and over).

You say you can not set the screen to 1026x1024 ? I assume that is an error as that is virtually a square screen. Do you mean 1280x1024 which is a standard setting and runs fine here?

Latest Nvidia vista drivers are on http://www.guru3d.com

I'm not arguing (just explaining why I'm right).

MSTS is an old game.
Backwards compatability isn't a priority, however, have you tried running the game in compatability mode? People say this doesnt do anything, it certainly does on my PC.

BUT as ever, the golden rule is: Don't buy the Operating System for 6 months, Teething troubles are out by then and it's easier to manage games and such.

See http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 1&start=30 messages #7 and #8 on that page. As for the screen resolution, in my case MSTS is running at maximum.
