Favourite Noise or Sound In MSTS
Mines the noise when you pass a signal (winding rope noise, you can hear it well when you drive a quiet train)

Not too sure about noise, but here is my favourite sounds.
Every route with respect to sounds is different, depends on what the route builder wishes to include.

There is more to MSTS sounds than you probably think.
Open up the Route Editor and experiment a bit.
Just a word of caution, backup the route before you begin to add sounds.
Be patient there is a lot to learn. Don`t add too many sounds before you save your work.

That's easy. The sound of any electric loco (81 -87) as they get the motors going and pull away from a station.
The Bats versions are spot on.

Anything from the Berlin U-Bahn add-on - especially the anouncements. Linie 51 also sounded pretty good - I liked some of the bell noises on the trams.
Otherwise, the sounds from German Railroads add-ons are superb - I really like their P8s!
For an individual (train) sound, I like the Amtrak KL5A horns (download from train-sim.com) - beautiful.
