I like a route with plenty of variety, try protrain 10, it has single track non electrified, single track electrified, 2 and 4 track electrified.

Well in my opinion......

*Comes with activities
*Does not require an additional 100MB of stock to be downloaded
*Visually well designed (IE good choice of track, terrain and vegetation textures)
*Has a mixture of single and double track.
*Has a reasonable range of potential activities
*Has some form of info or documentation to give a complete stranger a background to the line
*Is properly tested and is not ridden with flaws.

I have been using WCRR1.2 as of late and whilst the route is fictional, I have quite enjoyed it. The engines sound good and the scenery although not quite "mind blowing" is beautifully built into the whole world as one and everything blends together. The terrain textures has been thoroughly Mosaicked and the route now has scalerail which is very pleasing on the eye. It has some good documentation and this makes it easier to make prototypical activities. It has a quiet shortline feel to it and the Mosaic + scalerail combination really improves the realism. I have found very few bugs in the route as well so it has presumably been beta tested well

non electric for me as I tend to press P to try and pause quite frequently which obviously causes problems on the electric routes
