Dorset Coast V3

Post by cardiffcroupier »

Morning Guys.

After a few months out, I have come back to trusty old MSTS. I note that since I left, Dorset Coast is now v3 and on CD, but I am not sure if my system will cope with it.

I have an Intel C2D E6300, with 1Gb DDR2 RAM, and a 256 Mb DDR GFX card (GeForce 6600). Do you reckon it would cope with DCv3?

I do remember the original DC coming out and being tested, but I could never get it to work on my old Athlon XP system, but now with a few upgrades I reckon I could be close to getting it working if I was to buy it :)

Thanks in advance.

You should be fine with specs like that.

I'm only a bit lower than that and in most places 10-20Fps is the norm, with no crashes.

Cheers

I'd advise also installing the MSTSBin patch which helps with frame rates around the very intense sections, especially between Waterloo and Clapham. With it and a similar machine to yours, I can run with everything on max and get frame rates around 10fps minimum and 60fps maximum.

BTW - Dorset Coast has gone to V4 - download the updates from here after you have installed v3. I think V5 will not be too long in coming :)
