My Dad lives out there so I have travelled this route several times. The descent into Soller is awsome, you can see the line zig-zagging down the mountain.
To get the best views, sit on the right hand side going towards soller.

For those who have never been to Majorca the soller railway is a vintage narrow guage electric railway that runs from the centre of Palma (on roads in places a la tramway), over the mountains to the resort of Soller where it meets up with a tramway that takes you to the harbour.
The Locos are beautiful vintage wooden overhead electric locos.

There is a second line that runs from Palma and this is a modern commuter route serviced by DMU's

I have travelled both but the Soller line is an absolute must.
It would be worth checking the spanish MSTS site to see if anyone has come up with a version yet.
Regards,
Dave

Yep, thats the route I had in mind. the other route goes to Inca or something like that.

The Sollér route has a name, I think Ferrocar de la Sollér?
I stood on the platform between the coaches both ways. The views are breath taking, especially when you stop above Sollér for a 5 minute photo oppotunity. I stole a few lemons growing next to the line at Sollér too ;-)

Interesting rolling stock too, all out of wood and metal, the panto's are interesting to, the diamond shaped ones.
The loco takes passengers too.

I found Spannish quite hard to learn at college.
Last September myself and 3 friends went to Tenerife on a club 18-30 holiday and my friends relied on me to speak Spannish.
After a nightclub, we jumped into a taxi and asked the taxi driver to take us the KFC. We were doing chicken sounds in the taxi to tell the driver that we wanted chicken. He took us to some prostitutes untill I spoke some french to him. "Manger, manger" I said, which I think was spanish to eat like in french. He took us to a service station outside Playa las americas where we ate chicken sandwiches.
We then thought about having a go at the prostitutes but the police arrived and they ran off.
Well we very very drunk.

I found my ticket and the leaflet on my jounery on the Sollér railway. I'll scan then at a more sociable hour ;-)

Oh no, quite the contrary. If you look up 'vengaboys' in the dictionary, it quite cleary states:

Vengaboys ('vœngAkræpp) slang ~ n. 1. nonsense 2. rubbish 3. a taboo word for faeces 4. Modern form of music, more commonly known as .. 5. Complete loss of sense 6. Bad taste.
