Ian's Repaint Wagon Kits....

Post by JonathonAG »

...are being used outside of the box, if you know what I mean:

Image

Found the image while browsing the Model Rail Scotland Exhibition website ( http://modelrail-scotland.co.uk ) under the 2007 Exhibition Section ( Sub Section is Giscol Wagon Offer ). The picture is an artist's impression ( We're being called artists now  ) of a forth-coming wagon which will be avaliable at the show:
Model Rail Scotland GISCOL wagon
Model Rail Scotland have commissioned Dapol to produce a limited edition OO Gauge
open wagon in the livery of the Glasgow Iron & Steel Company who were at one
time a major employer in Glasgow and Lanarkshire.

The wagon priced at £8.50 will only be available at the exhibition and can be obtained by visiting the Model Rail Scotland Information Stand.

Now, Ian, did you perhaps have anything to do with this  :P

Guilty.

I was asked if I had any info for the model.

There was only a poor quality black and white photo so I sent a few screenshots of the MSTS wagon to show the colours.

These proved ideal for Dapol to use for the model.

I must remember to get my free wagon as payment.

A lot of my wagons are textured by scanning an 00 model.
This must be a first for doing it the other way round.

:D :D

Nice one Ian, if I buy a model of it, will you sign it??

Nice to see we can expand our efforts of modeeling and texturing, sounds's and cab's onto parts of the hobbie we wouldn't expect them to traverse :)
