Well i can get it to run very smoothly on a system with a Socket A AMD 3200 XP barton chip, 768mb of memory, with a ATI 9600 (256mb) with a Creative X-Fi sound card.
So i can't see why it won't run it,

And I can get it to run on an ancient machine like mine

so you should have little or no problems.
For reference my system specs are:
Athlon 1.2GHz
256Mb Ram
128Mb ATI Radeon 9200SE
7.1 sound card
Cheers,
Dale Williams
All Good Fun.
PS my ram should be being upgraded this christmas, hopefully by at least 512Mb.

The bin patch makes a big difference to GE - I've tried it with and without.

Be aware the Upminster branch doesn't work on my PC because of low spec, but that add-on is optional.

What nVidia graphics card have you got? Sometimes the clock speeds can make a difference.

Hi, I have the UPminster branch installed as well,on both machines. If you saw my second PC you would die ,it is made up of parts that my son and his mates disgarded on upgrading, the Chip is about 1200 Athlone the graphics card is a Gforce 2200 and it takes ages to load anything and even MSTS with Trainstore ( only have two routes at a time +the default
routes ) and even that performs well. Otto has a utility that allows you to swap the Train.exe about ,wondering if you went back to the default V1.4 Train.exe and just tried it

You can actually overclock the FX5200, I've done it with mine, while only a small overclock, it may squeeze a frame or two extra out. There may be a file to tell you how to. Don't go mad though, sticking the sliders right up will basically fry the chips to kingdom come and the rest of the PC will quite literally feel the burn.
There is an auto-config looking at my graphics set-up, which will give you an overclock based on your system.

You can find the link in the second post in this thread
http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?t=61026, but I've tried it and Otto's server isn't responding. He's gone to Salt Lake City for Christmas so you might have to wait unless someone else can send it to you.
