I've noticed the new route london south coast that is being released soon. If we own West Coastway and London Brighton, is it possible to buy an upgrade, or do we have to buy the whole thing?
Any Thoughts?

probably buy the whole thing as it has been rebuilt from what I believe. EB were (not sure if still are) talking about offering a discount for LBE & WCW customers

in very much doubt that will happen. althought their was talk of them releasing a standard version and then a 'gold star' version with lots more detail for high spec computers for an extra $5/£6

It will have to be rebuilt - they can't just merge the two routes, as LBE uses hand-made terrain, while WCW uses DEM'ed terrain, so they'd have to change all the terrain for LBE anyway.

I asked EB if a discount/upgrade would be availible for users of WCW/L2B+stock pack, but got told the route is completely different, so no upgrade and if I wanted it i'd have to buy it new, no discount.

You could do great "whole day" acts using the bin patch from london to bognor then back to brighton then on a LBE.

Cheers

i dont see why not.. would take a while to write though, and youd have to save it regularly incase the Sim crashed :(

I did a set of activities for the original LBE which made up a drivers day, starting at 6am taking your stock from the yards and finishing there at the end of the day :) It ran to 6 activities :)

Personally I dont find any attraction at all in having the whole day as one activity. You aren't going to be able to drive the lot in one hit (unless you fancy sitting at a PC for 7 hours :o ) I think a set of one / two hour activities making up the day is much better - but hey im probably biased

I think ive decided to buy this route. The three months premium access here with pre-orders was probably the clincher. Thats worth £9, so to get the addon for £11 seems like too good a bargain to miss. Then I can redo all my original activities ( over 20 i think) for the new route and maybe add a new one or two :)

I think the one thing putting me off is the fact they are only releasing 3x new stock and 17 activities. To say they have 15 for LBE alone, I find it very dissapointing...

The deed is done - preordered :)
I'll be interested to see if they have included any of the 16 i did for the original WCW release. If not i reckon i'll be able to do about 36 activities for the new route, but it will have to wait its turn it the queue :(

As I have posted elsewhere,I shall not be buying it.Reasons:I have London to Brighton and have pointed out to the developers in a constructive and helpful way some of the shortcomings with it,not to mention the initial installing problem which I solved thanks to these forums not the developers who knew about it but did not issue a patch. The response was not "Oh thanks we will incorporate these suggestions in a patch" but [deleted] and you are banned from our forum".They will still not issue a patch to fix the problem at Balcombe Jn ( no node) but instead expect us to shell out for a new addon. You cannot fix the route yourself because they refuse to supply a ref file and RouteRiter cannot produce one.If you want as a customer to be treated like that then go ahead but they are having a laugh with you.If you want to see some good Freeware routes (all superior to L2B) try WF6 and WF7,Cajon Pass,Seligman Sub,Gallup Sub,Wupper 10,NW England,Thames-Mersey,Australian and French routes. There are many others too,if you look.
