London,South Coast anyone?
I shall not be buying it for the reasons stated by several other people.Additionally,I shall not buy any other Europeanbahn products because of their attitude to constructive criticism (not just "I think this product sucks")When I first installed L2B I had a nightmare because it screwed up the Tsection files and made it unusable and although the developer knew this they did not bother to tell the unwary purchaser. It was only because I had access to this forum I could sort it.I then made some perfectly reasonable comments about some aspects of the route which could have easily been rectified with a patch and would have improved it.Were the developers happy to have some problems pointed out?No the response was to bar me from their forum. The only way you can have a major bug sorted ( no node at Balcombe Jn-note the spelling EBahn) which allows collisions is to buy the new addon. Finally, they do not provide a ref file for the route so the user cannot sort the problem and Route Riter cannot make one for some reason. If I were a route developer I would be pleased to receive constructive criticism about a product so it could be improved.By the way the trackwork and scenery on L2B are lousy. For a comparison download the freeware Cajon Pass route available on TrainSim.com,Wupper 10 (or one of many other continental routes or one of the Aussie routes)All freeware, all superior to L2B.

Hi Terryking125 wrote:Thats what I thought, but the question Ron asked about it being a stand alone I got the impression that he thought you could run it without the sim.
Terry
That was my fault as I used that phrase.
What I was replying to Ron, was that you don't need the previous three EB CDs...and if you want you can leave them installed.
Which was his concern.
Sorry if we confused you.
Cheers
Jon

Ron - the installation of LBE installs an old version of the tsection.dat file which will overwrite any newer versions installed. If you then subsequently try to run a newer route it will fail. Its not a big deal though, just pop the latest back into the global folder after installing it and everything will be fineI have never had any trouble with the the Tsection files being changed by LB2,
Lots of other routes include an installation routine to replace the tsection.dat file with the latest available (at the time the route came out) so it may be that when you did a reinstall, if you installed more than one route a later installation corrected the tsection.dat file

With doing a route that goes from Victoria, through Gatwick Airport, wouldn't it have been sensible for EB to make a Gatwick Express train, either 73 hauled or the EMU?
