The night you have all been waiting for....

Post by Nolly »

I am proud to announce that on Sunday 28th July at 9pm there will be a fancy dress party in the chatroom.

You are all hereby invited to come along dressed as somebody connected with the railways- I myse;f will be coming as Doctor Beeching (because I like having a big chopper, oo-er!)

At 9:30 there will be a quiz in the chatroom, on general knowledge but mainly entertainment, with the emphasis on fun, not masterminds. Matt has kindly said that the winner of the quiz will win a month's subscription to UKTrainsim.

Please come along and support the chatroom. It should be a place to iron out probs, or just chat.

Please indicate your interest/apathy/whatever as a reply to this post.

Be there, or may your framerate drop to half a dozen!

Neil  :) :D :P

Will have to give it a miss, as I'll be away on the Isle of Wight waving my digital camera at all sorts of derelict railway lines, plus preserved steam bits - stashing stuff away for a possible future project....

BTW this time of year is a baaaaaad idea for any kind of gathering as many will be off to sunnier climes. How about postponing it til September?

Sunnier climes, Isle of Wight?

I'll take part if I'm free that evening.

How much was your holiday, I may of been able to get you a cheap holiday. Me being a Travel agent. Yes I am ATOC trained so I can get your train fares home and abroad.

I'll dress up as my dad then for the Fancy Dress party. Pressed trousers and a white polo shirt with small orange writing saying Railtrack on it. (yuck)
Nolly can I wear my old (and preserved) HCC sweatshirt for old times sake?

Will your engine be turned off?

I hope so or no one will be able to hear anything and you can save fuel.

I might bring some sugar for the Diesal loco

If it goes down well then there's no reason we can't do it much more often!

I would love to be there but infortunantly I will be busy (the traditional computer games tournament at my house is on, so it is likely I will be getting slaughtered at something :D).

My holiday cost £0. It's alright I'm not bothered, thanks anyway, as a poor student I've got to spend the summer earning money. :)

I'll try... but there's probably a Neverwinter Nights session going on at the same time! :(

I may try and do them both at the same time... ;) So prepare for occasional anti-Orc shouts and calls for cure potions.
