re 312 emu pack
Downloaded and installed the 312 emu pack today ,and must say what an excellent download it is,sounds are great, textures and exterior very lookalike the real 312,s. One small point is that the 312,s did not have drivers doors actually in the cab,see left and right views when running, they were behind the drivers cab in a vestible, driver was shielded off by sliding door leading to the cab, with the external cab doors either side of the narrow passageway.
The 312 stock was on the eastern region kings x to royston run in the 1980,s when I was a guard based at kings x,brings back some good memories too,
Anyway as I said great sounds as they sound like the real thing when pulling away, and when braking, using them on the great eastern, shame cant use them on mideast,no wires yet(any chance in future?)
Is there a more realistic 2 tone horn to use, and is there a right away buzzer that can be used,to make it even more realistic sounding, also a passenger view would be nice,or maybe the guards compartment view next to the cage.dont want much do I,but you have to admit the trainstock is getting a lot better with original cabs etc.keep up the good work lads, its really appreciated, thanks

Hi
Glad you like Ciaran's original model and Jamie's re-paints.....but it is quite an old model.
If I remember correctly the Class 304 sounds include a cab bell sound that you might be able to use.
Not sure on horns.
The original downloads included a passenger view.
Pleased you like the sounds, the clever bits were actually done by a Hungarian guy called 'Kat Killer'.
If you want an up todate ECML you need to get the EB route, I think its excellent.
Cheers
Jon

In response to your "buzzer enquiry" I tend to change that awful "OK to Proceed" voice (no offence intended to our American friends) to whatever I feel would suit the route. I have a whistle and bell for my Southern routes and TM and a double buzzer on the Northern routes. In your ROUTE/(your route)/SOUND folder just copy and paste the Double Buzzer into it and amend the ingame.sms file. I backed up the original ingame.sms file and called it ingameOLD.sms should I wish to revert. (But I doubt I will!)

Version 1.1 uploaded, includes missing files and missing .ace file for the NSE unit. The download will overwrite the originals, but all consists etc will still work.
The missing .s files shouldnt effect the running of the units as theyre to do with the passenger view I think, which I had to sacrifice for the benefit of the text on the rear DTCs.
As for the missing .ace file, thats just clumsyness from me when I deleted all the targa files after repainting!
As far as Im aware therye the only problems Im aware of... If anyone spots anything on V1.1 please do let me know, Im back from holiday now and will be able to get things sorted pretty quick!
Thanks to John for keeping an eye out on the forums btw!
Cheers,
Jamie

Hi Jamie
Something has gone wrong.....zip file is still old one.
And NSE texture file is still missing.
Before you upload V1.2 check the cabfiles they are named wrong, or named wrong in the cvf file.
'whiteneedle_.ace' and 'horn_lever.ace'.
Cheers

Just downloaded this, and looks superb. MSTS had a strop with the pant.ace file, which was there but it didn't like it for some reason. Copied from Jon's all blue version and it runs fine (could also have copied it from the blue and grey one). There seems to be a problem with the texture mapping as the right hand side of the cab on each driving trailer has a 6 foot no smoking sign and what looks like the interior windows behind the driver. I'm all for health education, but
!!!! Sure it's just a minor issue, lovely work Jamie! They look great on GE!

Oh dear... Not sure whats going on with this one!
Anyway, Ive re-uploaded V1.11. This time Ive downloaded the old FGE unit again and put my textures onto that unit - in theory making it a completely different train! I suppose somehow my .ace file must have been corrupted somewhere, thus why Ive chosen to start fresh. If this dont work Im not sure what will!
Also, by the ammount of people askiing, Ive re-instated the passenger view. I had used the same shape on the rear DTC as the front DTC making it x2 fron DTCs (and sacrificing the pass. view.) When using the unit as AI (or for those who arnt bothered about Passenger views) I suggest using 2 Front DTCs as this will mean all the lettering reads the right way round.
Unfortunately, because as I say the NSE unit is a 'different' unit now, all the original consists are now invalid and MUST be deleted. New ones are supplied in V1.11. I aslo reccomend people delete the old model from their TRAINSET folders. The V1.11 folder is clearly labelled differently from the old one. The Blue Grey unit is not affected by this and is OK to use as normal.
John - as for the cabview I did have a play but it doesnt seem to work still. Its the one I downloaded with the original 312. Really stuck on that one im afraid!
Im really sorry to cause such a 'kafuffle' - Im completely bafled why the other two didnt work, they run fine on my PC!
Fingers Crossed....

NSE 312
Jamie,
Will the blue/grey one be included again as I misread you instructions and deleted both of them, then after looking again I noticed it only the nse one affected.
