Hi Pete,
As one who had a bit of a problem with solving the bounding box issue, thanks to the forum members I was pointed in the right direction. Seems the first time I tried to correct it, I changed the wrong file. My fault completely. Very pleased to say (as I mentioned in the Activity Forum) that i managed to do it properly without pestering too many times.
Ran your activity all the way through and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Seriously, it would be a great shame if you withdrew or didn't make any more activities. Believe me they are appreciated :D As alraedy mentioned by another member - time constraints and fading grey cells mean I always look forward to new activities for the routes I have, from other people, as I have not been able to create my own
Keep up the good work.
When I am brave enough to install MSTSbin I will try your latest acts as have just received Great Easterm
Kind Regards & keep Smiling
Manty :D :D :D

Pete I dont understand why these people don't read the readme file with the help from others I sorted out the bounding box issue. All I can ask is please dont remove the files.

If it was'nt for people like yourself the game would have died along time ago. I do hope you will reconsider

Peter,

At the end of the day you are probably like me and the other contributors of activities, routes, stock, scenery etc. - we do this as a hobby, first and foremost for our own enjoyment.

If someone else can gain pleasure by using what we upload then fine, but if there are others who just want to complain about what we have done thats also fine - it removes none of my pleasure that is gained from doing what I do in MSTS.

I would reconsider removing your activities and listen to the vast majority who are obviously getting great enjoyment from what you have done.

Hi Whats all this ???
a former user wrote:I Should Just add that If everything in these forums were policed with same degree of parody of esteem ,I would not be taking this action.

I mean what is the greater crime Posting in BLOCK CAPS or BOLD surely not as bad as knocking someones creativity & work which in some case maybe took 60 hours to put together
Totally Agree Too many Silly things get pulled up here & other people seem to get away with saying what ever to hell they like ;)

That Sounds like the description that would suit some of the petty officials on this forum

Well Pete. You're better than a lot of the people on here. Your activities contain realism and more importantly, they convey your enthusiasm for the railway that it is set on. Because of work, I don't have the time (or Ballyshannon) to run even half the activities you have created but the ones I have run I have always enjoyed. Not only that but you always take the time to test mine.
So. I raise a proverbial Dram to your good work and say keep 'em in the library and keep your spirits up.

Must Say I again Strongly agree .

I have not seen the offending post So I can not comment on the hidden agenda bit But I'm sure Ashley or Pete are not making these comments lightly.

While I would not like to see your stuff go off the map :( , I can not say I blame you mate as the pettiness of this place gets me down hence the fact that I go on about once or twice a week.

But Don't do anything Hasty & in the Immortal words of Norman Stanley Fletcher " NIL ILLEGITIMUS CARBORUNDUM " :) ;) :)

Hi Pete,

Hopefully I will soon be publishing a new route - and I know some idiot will pull it to pieces - well so what, they don't have to have it. But If just one other person enjoys it then thats fine by me. When I did MidEast Steam Era there was only a couple of rivet counters but there is now over a thousand downloads which says it all. Keep up your brilliant work, ignore the plebs they are ignorant and faceless and anyway WHO'S GOING TO WRITE ACTIVITIES FOR "THE WITHERED ARM" IF YOU ARE NOT AROUND!!! I enjoy your activities anyway. Pete lets go and have an electronic Guinness together and next time I am in Ireland I'll give you a call and we will have a real one.

Pete

Going to play devils advocate here and say its your right as owner of the activites to pull them all if you wish but I will also say that I suspect that you did not spend many hours creating them just for you to be the only one with them and to enjoy them so think long and hard as to why you created them in the first place.

Also to the nitpickers and rivet counters, remember MSTS is a simulation, if a rivet is missed out the train is not going to fall to bits, the world will not end and its 6 years old now, hardly cutting edge software and it has limits which have to be worked around to make things work on it. Nothing will ever be 100% perfect on it

Hi Pete

Whilst you are quite entitled to withdraw your work consider this....

All the rivet counters and nit pickers who think your work isn't worthy of being on UKTS will get their way while the many people who appreciate your efforts will suffer by having them removed

I'm sure this isn't what you're trying to achieve so please think again.

Generally we all tend to complain if we don't like something and keep quiet if we do. Maybe we should try the other way round!!

I will now make a concious effort to make a positive post when I've downloaded someone's work. It may just be that the plethora of postive feedback will drown out the negative.

I wish you well, Pete whether your future is here or elsewhere

Pete,

I'm amongst the silent majority, I rarely post complaints about activities, (I know how hard they are to write) but then again I rarely post compliments so that probably doesn't help. Your activities are popular, as can be testified by 3 pages of compliments from people on here in one day.
I know that is is you prerogative to remove your work from the main page, but there are many of us who would like you to keep the activities here for others to enjoy. Please, don't give in to these nit-pickers and rivet counters, all they want is to cause problems.

Keep heart with your hobby

Cheers,
Dale Williams

Pete,

Let me make a comparison, if I may. You joined UKTS about a month before me. Since then you have contributed several high-quality activities which are evidently well received by this community. In the course of your year on here so far, you have acquired all sorts of skills which you have then gone on to put to good use.

Sadly, I haven't the skills to contribute work of such quality. In the last year, my only experience with the activity editor has been changing the consist.

You mustn't let these nit-pickers drag you down mate - I'd like to see them produce work like yours. I know I couldn't.

Cheers

Pete,

I know that you responded to my PM to say that it was not my comments that caused this but I wanted to add my support here as well , I would also be very sadened to see your stuff removed and as I have said before , sorry if I caused any offence.

I can only agree with all the sentiments in this thread, Pete. I have always enjoyed your contribution to the community and see no reason why we should be deprived of this because some idiot thinks he has the right to slate your excellent work. Don't let 'em get to you mate. Cheers, Dave.

Hello Pete,

I would be sad to see your content removed. Some people just can't appriciate you brilliant work as they are to jealous they can't do it themselves.

I'm not just saying this, but everytime I see an activity of yours on UKTS, and I have the route, and i can acceses the stock, i will almost always download it.

I don't screenshots your activtys as it distracts me from the actuall driving, which I ike to do (even if I do take screenies alot :) ). Your activtys are always great fun and I've never had any problems with them.

Take it from me Pete, Those nit pickers are just jealous of your talent, and you should just tell them to ([Moderator Comment: dorlan - deleted).]

Your activitys are brilliant, and people do appriciate them.

Cheers

Ali
