John, I will categorise that as you suggest, I'm ftp-ing right now.

Hi all, Just got this,
After many many months of waiting, the release date for Great Eastern is finally confirmed by the publisher as November 3rd 2006.
The offer for Great Eastern in the MT shop will be a retail price of £19.99 (+ £2.42 UK p&p) (rrp will be £24.99).
On top of this, there will also be a voucher free months premium membership to UKTrainsim.com, AND we will also be offering a £1.00 discount on a future purchase on a download product from the Making Tracks shop.
Magic.
Regards
Ron P

i dont have a clue why but i have just had a thought telling me not to buy this route and i was about to enter my card details and i closed the window saying i dont need it. Weird as the route is absolutely fantastic and the stock and scenery is wonderful, but something is driving me away and i dont know what

Well, I dunno about you Carl but I'm sold...
Whether or not it'll work on my machine is a main factor...but that video...my god!! I've used that line for about fourteen years now, on and off, and....wow....it's just spot on. Romford looks spot on, Manningtree, Ippy, Colchester, Shenfield, Brentwood...and the Street....woooow...
I'm now downloading the super-hi-res version to drool some more...

I saw the route running at Aldershot last week and OMG it looks brilliant!
Not only has the route and stock been built to a very high standard, there is plenty of scope for activities - commuter runs, expresses, freights and specials can all run together, so the user won't get bored of it!
Much kudos to Making Tracks on this one, a fitting tribute to Dale Stewart I think

Not yet Geoff. I'm in the middle of producing a couple of new videos (showing the Clacton and Southend branches, then I'll look at the others as well.lateagain wrote: Are the shorter ones here too?
It certainly is! The videos don't show it at its best either, I've had to turn Anisotropic filter and Antialiasing way down and turn the MSTS performance settings down a notch to be capable of capturing the video.lateagain wrote: It looks amazing.
With settings on full it is truly a route of beauty, and as I said elsewhere, very realistic - you can drive it without track monitor, relying solely on the signals and speed limit signs. Plus of course your route knowledge!
