I am also still awaiting a link to download this file from Making Tracks using the debit card / pay pal way and I paid for this before mid day. I have the receipt email from pay pal but not an MT one.

Is there a way to claim my money back if I do not recieve the link?

Cheers Craig

From an outsider POV, it appears osCommerce didn't recognise the PayPal API... I'd suggest you contact MT.

I wasn't emailed the link - it was in my previous orders section on the MT shop. Did you click the "Return to Merchant" link after you paid, so that MT were made aware of the payment status?

Without wanting to sound off How is this loco pack ever going to make money for 89001? The reason is say that is because this pack has been available all day (Saturday) but no where does it say that its available. Blue arrow site - Not a thing, their forums - nothing, front page of this site also not a thing and the making tracks frontpage says it will be available shortly (At least they advertised it at all). It was only reading this thread and seeing some payment woes that i realised it had been released. How are people supposed to donate by purchasing this pack if they don't know that its out there?

Without looking as if I am sounding off, your dead wrong about no news on this release. The very minute the files were approved by the testers and the installer built, we released news of it being on sale in our forum and within 5 minutes had the item on sale on Ebay. The product was then sent to EB,MT and Matt at UKTS.

http://www.bluearrowtsforums.info/viewtopic.php?t=2085

All this week we released up to date progress on the build to the forum, UKTS and ACLG.
As for the news being added to our website I am sorry but that is beyond our control, our webmaster is up to his eyes in work on his home and unavailable to add news to our front page. We have done our very best since last Friday working flat out to get this done, in fact Tim was taken ill on Monday and had to go to A&E with acute chest pain, he thought the worst but it was not a heart attack. He has been of work all week, yet continued to do the build putting in 16 hours a day, plus all those who worked in the background testing and doing the documents. In spite of my recent heart attack I am still putting in`14 hours a day 7 days a week.

It annoys me intensely when folks like you sound off about not enough being done, how much does one expect of us????

Were very upset at comments such as yours. The last thing we needed was a spat in this topic about fund raising for 89001!
Best Wishes

Mike

Well i'm sorry i missed that post but what is weird though is that i too have been following the progress ALL week in the EH2 forum where all the news has been, but thats not where you released the news, you released it in the SITE ADMIN forum Why? why would anyone look in there for news of a loco pack release? (any release not just this one? its SITE ADMIN ) when all the news so far has been limited to one paticular forum.

It doesn't matter how quickly you distrubuted the files to UKTS, MT etc if no one knows you've done it whats the point.
It annoys me intensely when folks like you sound off about not enough being done, how much does one expect of us????
Well i Expect you to announce it when you've released it.
I know exactly how much you've worked all week, its fantastic
just don't ruin it by not letting people know that your hard work is out there waiting for donations thats all
Were very upset at comments such as yours. The last thing we needed was a spat in this topic about fund raising for 89001!
i was quite annoyed that i could have donated this morning but had no idea the pack was there until an accident click landed me in this thread
which wasn't the one i was aiming for (infact i was aiming for the blue arrrow one to see if there was an progress update, which ironically i wouldn't have found)

ps
I hope both you and Tim are ok

Hi Chris,

My appologies for your problems with the Making Tracks Shop ....

The download link shows on your order at the bottom of the order.

To view it log into the making tracks shop site and then go to this link
My Account

This link is not hidden away and is on the left of the page in the header.

This will show you a list of all your previous orders, the order that was for the download file shows the download link button at the bottom underneath the order breakdown.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

With regards to why its not been updated, we do have a life outside of TrainSim and although MT is a commercial business, since Dale's passing away, we have took more time with families, friends and other things as well. Dave Babb has a day job and is also a Special Constable with the Police. I work strange hours at concerts and large scale events and sometimes spend days away from a PC at a time (although I do still try).

Likewise with Blue Arrow TS. The website's last article was posted in June/July. It wasn't updated for the start of the campaign and you still learned about it in the forums, it says on the same forum at BATS that you learned about the pack in, that its available on ebay.

Please feel free to place an order on a website like Firebox on a Saturday Night and see if you can get a reply before Monday morning. You wouldn't expect it with them, why expect it from a company that it clearly states on the website (MT anyway) that it is still a hobby.

I've read (and posted) about the pack's release in 3 places (and I havent checked the MT forums yet.....)

Release information was posted yesterday at BATS, EB and on Here that I have seen (and as I said above, haven't looked at MT)

Anyway - please forgive me for being blunt about this, but people have put in a lot of time and effort for this project - get off thier backs, and if people don't know about it's release, spread the word!

Cheers

well you all obviously have more time than i do to search the web.
its 2.00am and i'm still working since 7.30 this moring plus the same all last week.
iam sick of people complaining how long they've been working and how they've got a life outside MSTS as an excuse when someone says something they don't like. well havent we all got a life but we don't all harp on about it.
I got two TV programmes to finish by 9.00 monday morning,
if they are not finished i can't just say "oh give me a break i gotta life outside this" i've just got to get on and do it and THEN i got to get them upto to shepards bush through the damm rush hour.

So maybe you could get off my back because i'm bloomin exhausted myself

Very true, but I wasn't having a go at you.

How do I have more time to search the web? I went directly to the Making Tracks website (which I am responsible for) to get the link for Chris (and anyone else who couldn't find it).

You are correct about the 'oh give me a break' comment, the reason I am online now is that I have been working since 9am at the MEN Arena (after a 4 hour drive to there from South Wales). I am now in a hotel room checking my email while I should be downstairs with a very large alcoholic drink. But I am here (rather than downstairs in the bar) to check if there were any problems with the download as it went live last night. I think that tensions are high for everyone at the moment so I will leave it there before something gets said that will take the light away from 89001.

I posted that as soon as I'd generated the product in the shop, which was as I came in from my BTP 9 hour duty (which was right after a 7.5 hour day job), there's not a huge amount lot else I was going to at 4.30 am to be honest.

Out of interest, your two TV programmes, they being done 100% for charity ? With you covering all the costs of people watching them ?

Thought not.

We're not allowed to clarify that MSTS sometimes has to take a back seat, but its ok for you to mention how hard you are working in your real job ? I dont see the connection.
I've done a 60 hour week (in 6 days), plus MSTS stuff, I think I might not have to justify not getting round to anything right now.

I would like to thank Dave & Tony out at MT for sorting my down load problem out, I was looking in the wrong place.

Your help realy appreciated, I just hope my small contribution helps in some way to save this unique loco.

May I also add that prior to buffy500's statement of 14 Oct @ 04.19, bluearrow made a statement 13 Oct @ 20.49 on page 2 of this thread, and mjt222 also made a statement 13 Oct @ 21.39 on page 3 of this thread.
