Just a quick question, and not related to the lighting effect - why do you need/use Hyperscan DX to take screencaptures, seeing as MSTS has built in screen capturing (by hitting the print screen key).

Looking excellent, esp the lit up smoke plume from the cab area. One point to mention - are you using the cheap and cheerful glow effect (which is simple for a graphics card to draw) or the much more video-intensive sphere of light effect? If the later then I'd suggest, like the old Airfix glue, use sparingly.

Hi Dan,

Many thanks for the K4 .eng file. I have uploaded a new version of that loco with your lighting effects.

Please note I made the following changes to your file:-

Under each of your lights, I put
Headlight ( 0 )
TimeOfDay ( 2 )

Thus it does not matter what setting you have the headlights at (the K4 did not have lights in any case), the scenic lighting automatically comes on if it is night time.

I'm not arguing (just explaining why I'm right).

Dan, do please check that tech doc I mentioned. It covers all this and by setting the lights to come on in different conditions you can do lots with them. I think the loco lighting system is one of the areas that Kuju did something really well.
