I can remember them on the Southern over Clapham way,
but as to exact positions of cranks I'm not sure I do know
Mr Bullied rebuilt the front ends and some were turned
into 90 degree cranks, with other changes as well.

My dad remembers seeing them rocketing down through Eastliegh on the boat trains hunting sideways all over the place. If anybody has any plans i would be interested because the more sources i have the better and i am not sure if mine are 100% to scale.

Thanks

I have the British Locomotive Types 1939 edition it gives all the overall
dimensions and spec's, don't know if this is any use to you modelling
chaps though.

Only shows a side on view.

could be useful, generally i find the more sources you have the better the final product will turn out.

Thanks, it certainly looks better when it gets realistic wheels, now for the bogie wheels.

Looking good there Richard.

I'm going to leave the Lord Nelson to you and model another version of the class.
I have gone for 30865, Sir John Hawkins. This was the last built of the class and interests me as such.
I may try for two versions, BR scheme and original Southern.
Probably take me some time as I have also started a UK route and will switch between the two for a break.
I wasn't going to do another route in MSTS but have an itchy route building finger and the research/work will at least give me good experience for the new sim.

Rick - you have pm.
Cheers
