ECE on new PC`s

Post by david1 »

just wondering if anyone else has this problem, having bought both parts of ECE and it works fine on my PC, then having loaded onto a friends compter which was a new PC i found that it crashes when going into the route editor, the routes plays ok other than this. I have now got a brand new PC and i have the same problem, I have re-installed the route, and also re-installed trainsim itself, i have changed the graphics setting the routes drives ok but the route crashes when using the route editor, I have even done a full restore on the PC but to no effect, it would seem that ECE does not like new PC`s. was other routes work fine

Try lowering your colour quality settings to 16 bit, then try the editors again.

It's not a probem with the PC - apart from the fact that most modern machines default to quite high resolution - it's a known fault with the Editors; MSTS is ancient in gaming terms, and the editing modules were set up to use the 'average' resolution of the day.
