Hi
Due to the limits of MSTS this is one thing you can't do because it will only let one train in a section at any one time so eg if your in a goods loop and you want an express to over take you the goods train will get the path and the express will follow. Its somthing that I would want to do to make goods traffic more interesting.
hope this helps Colin

Not quite - overtaking can be induced by placing double reversing points in a loop or siding in the player path, which will allow a player train to be overtaken by a following AI train. MartinH, amongst others, has posted details on how to do it in this forum - try a search.

Good advice there - a search on "double reversing point" and selecting search for all terms shows up 15 threads. A quick look at 3 or 4 indicate they have the answers in them.
