& to be honest I would not fancy using it without train store v1 that is & I'm sure that v2 is a more demanding beast ;-)

Not mentioned yet as far as I can see ... but will activities made for v1 run on v2?

As a thought, you could make BD1 a mini route and then run the new version in Trainstore. I have my mini route's on a different drive to Trainstore, therefore I should be able to run both versions of Burton Derby.

Matt.
Certainly if the 'acts' for v1 run on v2 - hence my question

Hi there
but will activities made for v1 run on v2?
I am in the process of going through my activities for both the original download version and the original CD version, replacing stock and tweaking them where I think I can make an improvement. This is going to take a while as there have been so many stock alterations, it is not a case of changing the stock with conbiulder or AE as some might think.

Consist running times will have changed and I want to make sure that they are as good if not better than the originals.

Frame rates may have changed as some of the newer stock items are more detailed giving lower frame rates. so I may need to rebalance the activity if I feel it is necessary. I am using what I consider now to be a slightly below average machine to build the activities on. So if I can run them, most others should be able to as well.

I think I have a couple of ready and willing testers, so I will be uplloading them when they have passed. I anticipate this will keep me busy for the next couple of months at least. It is also something I am enjoying doing.

Traveller 54,....Most activities from version 1 CD will run on version 2 CD, accept you will have to be aware of broken paths around Attenborough and Denby pottery, where the joins had to be adjusted a little.
Also the stock on version 2 CD will be different and some stock is no longer available.
There are THREE engines in the stock which have had their tenders CHANGED, to reflect stock availability,
they are BD_4MT_Crab_42798...........BD_5XP_45511....BD_4P_41167
which means they will over-write the originals.

Hope you enjoy and Many Thanks

Hi Matt, So what you are saying is ,Get the new CD then go into the Routes Folder after unstoring Trainstore and Delete the existing version, then just load the new CD. :-?

Mine arrived this morning. :D

Installed OK except that Microsoft Anti Spyware wouldn't allow the .bat to run. No way could I persuade it to so I uninstalled the antispyware (didn't like it in any case, it won't upgrade without having SP2 installed which I don't want so is useless anyway). :-?

Also I recently installed Camhack 111 which I had to reinstall after installing BD2. Is this usual when installing a new route ?

So did mine!! Installed OK even with the M$ Spyware installed? Anyhow good to see that you can install the stock/consists/acts/srv/trf files seperately rather than having to 'extract' them from the main file folders!!

OK, off I go to explore the new stuff; now where is the coffee pot :-)

Mine insatalled fine it just updated the one I had all runs fine. The only thing I noticed there are a few open space's that could do some trees or buildings but thats easy to do.

Well, looks really good - thanks Don.

Just a couple of Obs. from my old 'spotting' ground which may be considered for any future update?

1) Don't remember all the trees where Derby sheds use to be? I used to spot off the London Road bridge and always treasured seeing lines of engines there!

2) Chaddesden siddings had a signal box (Chad. South) with level crossing across Meadow Lane (which came south of the old Nottingham Road from Chaddesden opposite the Esseldo cinema)!

No way are these critisisms btw!!!
