Is This Just another one of Those Infamous MSTS Bugs?

I have been doing a couple of activities & I have placed pop up messages at strategic points on the Route( one is is for IE north & the Other is for Stranraer to Ayr Yeah remember that one  ) The problem is shortly after the display of these messages sometimes MSTS shuts down with out warning & displays the usual encountered error & shut down message Most of the occasions this happens the Sim does not seem to be under pressure Frame wise & the AI stock is nil to very minimal usually only static etc etc & all bar one happen in non built up areas.
Is there a problem with my install or Is This Just another one of Those Infamous MSTS Bugs we hear so much about I can only say one thing & that is " Thank God Microsoft Don't Do buildings they would probably be the worst built in the world" Lets face it they are the only company who can get away with using the public as unpaid Test Dummies :-D I draw this assumption from experiencing the amount of bugged up software they have put out in their day. & on some occasions had the bare faced cheek to charge for the update to rectify it.

Any Ideas on solutions greatly accepted

Cheers

Peter

Not sure on the particular issue, but re M$ view of their customers, their infamous error message sums it up... "You have chosen to end the unresponsive program..."

Pete this is the same issue that effects the F11 briefing screen if displayed too long. Basically its the old sound channel bug, which can also affect pop-ups. I think the only solution is to modify your soundcfg file as mentioned on another thread. If you've already done that Im afraid i dont have any other suggestions, except maybe to move the position slightly in case its being caused by a nearby AI or static consist.

Same thing was happening me with IE. I installed creative soundblaster x-fi extreme music sound card. I've had no problems since thankfully. Would strongely advise aquiring new sound card. I only recently experimented with graphics card installed almost two years ago. The quality of train sim has greatly improved graphically to. Worth experimenting.
