Finally after installing a new sound card i'm now pleased to tell the forum and those in particular that helped shed light on the problem, that i have finally completed an activity on Irish Enterprise. So thank u to all that helped. BUT...does any 1 know what causes this problem. "Sorry there is a prob with MSTS and needs to shut down" etc In the list of problems it mentions the following as files that are being sent in an Error Report:

Program files\Microsoft Games\Train Sim\dwmdrivers.dat
Program files\Microsoft Games\Train Sim\dxdiag.txt

Any 1 know what this means or how to overcome this prob as it shuts MSTS down.

Still getting error message at times when MSTS encounters probs and needs to shut down. The below is always listed as fills that are sent with error report. Any suggestions?

Program files\Microsoft Games\Train Sim\dwmdrivers.dat
Program files\Microsoft Games\Train Sim\dxdiag.txt

try reinstalling directx

Try updating your display driver too.
