Cal,

Have you got all 6 default MSTS routes installed?

and is everything installed to the default location (ie c:\program files\microsoft games\microsoft train simulator) I changed my path slightly as i use mini routes and found the batch file didnt like it. I copied the default route folders into my routes folder for Mersey and then ran the batch file again and it worked fine. Then i just deleted the default routes again as i already had them in the default routes folder.

So if youve change the install location that could be the cause.

moving the default routes should not cause any problems after you have run the BAT file as i have 3 different route folders on mine system once i have installed a new route i installed in the folder with the 6 defaults then move to another location.

have you installed the platform kits i think there a 5 of them that should help with platform error and also the lasted XTracks

Mine also didn't work first time I traced mine down to a bad download. if remember right wasn't the route made into 4 files.

Cal If you only a few routes installed then you could re-install but you should only do this as a last resort.

do all your other routes run fine

Cal, the files that you decribe there all look like bespoke files that are shipped with the zipped route, that is they are not available from default routes.

Try unzipping the route files again.

Also to clarify TM does not require New Roads, X-Tracks, Platform Kits or UKFinescale.

try getting route riter it will sort out problems.. but the failed to load messages sometimes come up when your system cannot handle the large number of files that Mersey requires t be loaded... perhaps try starting a journey at a small remote station and keep away from Liverpool, Eustonn, Manchester etc
