I guess I have not have run a loco with a night cab since this latest update. I was assuming that, on entering a tunnel, it would switch automatically to the cabview in the NIGHT folder. From what you say that is not correct, and it is necessary to choose Key 1 view.

When entering a tunnel there is simply no longer an automatic move to the cab view (of any description), that's all. If you want a cab view, just select it by pressing 1, if you don't, then stay with it outside :)

Would I be right in assuming that for a multiple unit there is no need to add the rear cab positions to the .cvf file (because the driving vehicle doesn't have a rear cab!), provided the NextWagonUID change is made in the consist file?

I'm a little surprised that someone (with a bit more programming talent than I), has not produced a routine to do batch conversions of selected .cvf files for cabview positions and consist files for multiple units, etc.

Hi
No you do still need to add the rear facing cab lines to the cvf file.
But by adding the 100 to the NextWagonUID in the consist the cabview is then projected onto the last vehicle in the consist, using the rear facing settings.
What can't currently be done is just projecting into the last driveable stock item, but I believe Georges is working on that one. As well as different cabviews for multiple loco consists.
Cheers
Jon

PS
It could be automated but it wouldn't always be accurate, as some models are not built around a central point....and would still need adjusting by hand.
