Replacement Pendennis

Post by USRailFan »

A couple of years or so ago I downloaded a replacement model for the default Pendennis AI-only locomotive. I am fairly certain that it was here at UKTrainSim. The model was made to directly overwrite the default Pendennis. I am however unable to track down this model to re-download it - does anyone know if it has been removed from the file library, or, if it is still available, can anyone give me the correct File ID so I can find it and re-download it?

Hi

Get it here: http://www.train-sim.com/cgi/kdl/main/3 ... p?dNwfn00K

You will need to sign up at http://www.train-sim.com though. It's free!

Sorry but that was not the file I was thinking about, that is a replacement just for the tender, but the file I had in mind is a from the ground-up rework of the whole locomotive, although still AI-only and not to the same standard as driveable locos. I am also pretty certain I downloaded it here at UKTrainsim, not at train-sim.com

Oops sorry my mistake that was not what I meant to show you.

Anyways I searched "Penndenis" on UKTS and only got coaches :( .

It was probably released right back when UKTS started (i.e. Just after when MSTS was released) and for whatever reason is probably gone now. I'll have another look on TS.com

Ok. There is this for a drivable Penndenis:

http://www.train-sim.com/cgi/kdl/main/9 ... p?bxSbv00v

But from what you have said that does not fit criteria. :(

USRailFan,
I know the file you ran, I came across it whilst browsing the library a few years ago...I had a quick look just now but couldn't find it. :-(
IIRC it was by Robin Howell, perhaps contacting him would be a start?

Hallo!
You can get the files to make the Goelsdorf 310, Royal Scot and Pendennis driveable here:
http://www.railserve.com/Computers/MSTS ... comotives/
(free registration necessary) I got the files from this site long time ago when there weren't many steam locos for MSTS, and they are still available.

Keep on steamin'!

Please read my initial post, OK? I wasn't looking for any files to make any locos driveable, I was looking for a file that was here at http://www.uktrainsim.com a couple of years ago that contained a total re-work from the ground-up of the default Pendennis loco.

Hi USRailFan. I found the reworked Pendennis Castle here:

http://www.highworth.freeuk.com/

Look on the links and go to AE Shop's download page. It's in one of the GWR CD Patches, don't know which  . You do not need the CD to work them as they just include locos. You can download them for free.
