Installing Dorset Coast

Hey all.
Having a bit of grief on Dorset Coast

I have dowloaded the complete files and now am stuck on where to install them. I followed the readme installation procedures but when i installed to C:\ i couldnt find the files

I havent got win zip because my pc doesnt like it so any help would be much appreciated.

have you got win rar, this will unzip/extract the route for you and put it in the default directory, if u not got it in default directory u have to put it in manually. Remember to click the install.bat file after you done this or it wont work. If u not got winzip or winrar then i dont think you will be able to use the route or in fact any route as u need to unzip the files.

Well thanks for the reply, but i can extract the file so i sholud be alright. The installme.bat just says 0 files copied

u got all 6 default routes installed?
if not thats maybe why it not copied anything

and has the 'Dorset' folder been added to the Programme files > Microsoft Games > Train Simulator > Routes folder?

Can I suggest that you re extract them to a folder on the desktop (called Dorset) then move the folder to the ROUTES folder in the MSTS directory. Then re-run the BAT folder.
Have you looked at my support pack avalible on UKTS?

Dave has just uploaded TM4 as a set of 4 files which "should be easier to install"

Hi,
i am trying to also install dorset coast route and i tryed putting it all in one folder but it says do you want to overrite the files ...... what does this mean and can somebody put me on the right track

Are you installing from the CD and upgrading or are you installing the complete downloadable pack?

Hello tis me again with the same kind of problem.
Thames-Mersey the complete files. Ive extracted them to a directory on my desktop and then placed the file into the routes folder, but the main install doesnt work. Once again no files copied. The different ones work though like the pre- steam. Its just the main intsall me isnt copying.

Ah I know a solutin I think.
Some spyware clients and antvirus/firewall's block the bat script that runs. Diable any of them that are running and try running the bat file again.
I remember it happened to me when i originally had TM and Dorset!
