Blackpool 1.3

Post by oldrocker »

I've just installed this from the cd onto my laptop but, although I have tram sounds, I don't have any Pleasure Beach sounds, or indeed anything that ain't a tram.

I've tried reinstalling the route and restarting the pc but nothing.

I'm using Trainstore.

Any ideas please ?

Fine as far as I can tell. All up to maximum.

Everything else is perfect in all other routes.

1.3 is fine on the desktop as well, funfair, stunt plane etc.

But not on a new installation on the laptop.

Dave.

Try this

Try changing your soundcfg.dat file, found in the Global folder. Increase the second figure in the 'SoundSystem' to 200.

Skip ( Scalability 5 - Memory Guide 30M )
SoundTimer ( 5, 30, 5 )
AudioStream ( 5, 500, 100 )
SoundSystem ( 5, 200, 20, 31457280 )
TrainMinMaxDistance ( 5, 25.0, 1000.0 )
AmbientMinMaxDistance ( 5, 20.0, 1000.0 )
Rolloff ( 5, 1.0 )

Just got in and checked the sound settings. Quantity was set at low

I increased it to high and there they were playing away !

I can only guess that MSTS on installation identified the laptop as having a cruddy sound system.

Thanks for the help.
