wessex class 150/2

Post by poodles »

hi, why is this train so slow? lol, i've tried adjusting the power, max force and max continuous force figure settings up in the thousands in the .eng file but still seem to be crawling out of stations at little more than 1mph on full beans.

the friction setting seems to be quite high, 678N/m/s, does this need to be adjusted to get it moving? in real life i'd probably say the 150s are no slower than a 158/159 at pulling out of stations due to being lighter etc, was hoping to try and get the same effect in msts! :)

Thanks

The solution is to remove any references in the .eng files that relate to gearing as this is what causes the rather slow accelleration your experiencing.

As i don't have a .eng file for a 150 to hand at the moment i'm not sure which parts need changing.

i have never really had a problem with trains being too slow,

i tend to have problems with trains going to fast like the 321s and 313s
